Reiki for Well Being

Reiki is dedicated to helping you make a healing connection between your physical self and your inner wisdom and spirit.  

Reiki helps heal the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual fields. 

It is a remarkably profound and yet simple modality and promotes your own personal inner health, intuition, peace and connection with your highest Self.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of energetic healing.  The word "REI" means Universal, God, Soul, Spirit.  The word "KI" means energy or Life Force.  Reiki literally means Universal Life Force Energy.

Healing is innate within us.  When we scrape our knee, it begins to heal.  Our benevolent God, Universal Spirit, Source gave all life this beautiful ability to heal.  When we return to our True Self, we yearn to be healed and to live in that state. 

Reiki is not a religion.  You do not need to believe in a particular set of rules or dogma to receive its benefits.  Reiki is simply innate Life Force Energy.  It is being used in hundreds of hospitals across the world to help people recovering from things like Chemo, surgeries, and in hospice.  It is very relaxing and peaceful.

Reiki is simply innate Life Force Energy.  It is never harmful and can only be for our greater good and health.   

How is Reiki Given?

Reiki is performed on a fully clothed person lying or sitting down using a hands-off modality.  The practitioner's hands are held several inches above the body over the 7 Chakra centers.  Sometimes the hands may be lightly touching over the eyes, head, arms, knees or feet.  It is never invasive or inappropriate and Reiki Masters will check in before the treatment to make sure you are always very comfortable with the treatment and will make accomodations.  In fact, Reiki can also be given remotely, which is often called Distance Reiki.  As strange as that might sound at first, there are many energetic reasons why Reiki can be sent this way.  Reiki Level 2 Practitioners and Reiki Masters use Reiki symbols to help connect with the energy to send it remotely.  

Types of Reiki Treatments I offer

Standard In Person or Distance treatment - 60 to 70 minutes includes playing of Sound Bowls and gong, and 1 oracle card reading and/or walking my labyrinth.

The Standard Treatment covers all l7 Chakras.  The Reiki Master may use sage to cleanse the energy around you, will offer a prayer to their Higher Power, will ask their Spirit Guides and Your Higher Power to help guide the session. You will feel very relaxed and comfortable.  Reiki symbols are used to help heal each client physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  I ask for guidance and receive it and often also receive psychic impressions that I will share with you.  Everything is positive and good.  Reiki Symbols used are the Power Symbol, and Emotional Balance Symbol, and Symbol for helping to heal the Past, Present and Future.  Inner child work can be done energetically, past traumas can be addressed.  

Reiki is amazing - profound and yet simple. 

It will be customary for you to lay on the Reiki table face up.  Some clients, who have difficulty may want to sit in a chair - and that is fine.  During the session, you will relax and most likely feel the energy and warmth coming from the Reiki Master's hands - even if they are not directly touching your body!

I am a Sound Healer and often use the modality of my Crystal and Tibetan bowls while giving clients Reiki.  I also use the Gong frequencies in my treatments.  It is believed that the Sound Bowls and Gond provide another healing modality and are definitely very soothing and relaxing.  

My session include an Oracle Card Reading (about 5 to 10 minutes) or if in person, you may choose to walk my large outdoor labyrinth.  Distance Reiki sessions include the Oracle Card Reading.  

Sessons run an hour but please allow a little extra time so we can discuss the session.  I recommend allowing yourself another 15 minutes.  

My sessions may also include essential oils, use of pendulum, crystals and the placement of Sound Bowls on the back of body, or Heart Chakra.  These modalities are used with permission and usually discussed before-hand.  

I also offer a deluxe Reiki Session using Warm Water in the Sound Bowls and played on the back of the body, and the legs and feet.  This session runs 80 minutes and you should allow another 10 minutes for discussion and Oracle Card Reading.

Distance/Remote Session Can Be Received from Anywhere - 60 to 70 minutes including Oracle Card Reading

Reiki Masters and Level 2 practitioners know different symbols that make it possible for clients to receive Reiki remotely with their permission.  I think of this similarly to prayer.  I can pray for someone without having to have them in the same room.  This means you can be anywhere you desire to be while receiving the Reiki treatment and it will be transmitted to you.  

When I was studying this technique many years ago I had a Reiki Master offer me a Distance Session to experience it for myself.  It was unbelievable how I felt the warmth and sensations of Reiki.  I also felt when she stopped transmitting and afterwards she let me know she had stopped at a certain time and that specific time was when I had felt the session had ended.  I've had remarkable successes giving Distance Reiki Sessions and have taught it for many years to my students.  I believe that some practitioners are more gifted at this than others. I have seen this with my own students.  

What Does Reiki Feel Like? 

Most people initially feel the benefits of relaxation and stress reduction.  Although the practitioner uses a hands-off method, very often, a person willl feel a penetrating heat emitting from the hands of the practitioner.  Most describe this feeling as very comforting.  A person might also feel a slight tingling that represents the energy moving through the body.  Some people report seeing colors, and experiencing soothing mental pictures.  Some clients fall asleep during a session, some shed tears as things work through and there is a deep release.  Every session is unique and different.  Those seeking relief from pain might feel immediate benefits upon the end of the session, or might reach maximum results within the following few days.

Many people keep up a regular routine of getting  Reiki treatments to keep the good mojo flowing.  Clients feel the difference that Reiki makes in their lives.  For some particular things we are working on, I may suggest a specific number of sessions spread out over a few months. 

Many clients who experience the remarkable benefits of Reiki want to become practitioners themselves.  Reiki Practitioners give themselves Reiki daily when following the suggestions I teach them.
