Have you Ever Wondered About Becoming a Reiki Practitioner?

You may have heard about Reiki and even been drawn to find out more about it. There are Level 1 beginner classes, Level 2 intermediate classes, and then there is Level 3 Master Level and even a Master Instructor Level.

The first time I received Reiki was while getting a back massage. I had no idea what it was but I trusted my Massage Therapist when she asked if I wanted Reiki and that it would help.  I said "sure"!  My back began to feel wonderful. I lifted my head and asked what she'd put in her hands but she raised her hands and said, "Nothing, that's Reiki!".   Even though it was astonishing, I did NOT start my personal Reiki journey then.  It took another experience a year later when my grown daughter, who was going through a Holistic Health Certification offered me Reiki because my back hurt (again!) and that time finally peaked my curiousity as I went from a very sore back to no pain in the space of 10 minutes!  She told me it was Reiki, and it was Energy and she'd learned all about it at her school.  This time, I wanted to know everything about it!

Since that time, in 1998, I have learned a lot more about the healing modality of Reiki.

I've learned that Reiki is remarkable, easy, and yet profound!  And I was led to begin studying Reiki.

I thank my lucky stars for Reiki coming into my life because of its huge positive impact.

You may be wondering:  What Is Reiki and What Does Reiki Do?

Reiki is a Japanese word.  Rei translates to God or Universe or Source.  And Ki translates to Life Force or Energy.  Reiki literally means God or Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki is used to promote healing physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  It can complement many spiritual practices as it deeply connects us to our True Self and our Higher Power, whatever that Higher Power resonates with you.

Reiki has no dogma and is not a religion.  You can be of any faith and practice Reiki.  Reiki can only be used for good, is an intelligent force to help with healing.  If you believe in a Higher Power, a Universal power (the word Rei) that directs our lives, Reiki’s life force energy (Ki or Chi) can be used to deepen healing and connection to deeper purpose.

I have found that many students come to Reiki in a myriad of ways and feel called to explore it. Some have had a Reiki treatment themselves and others have had friends get involved and they want to know more.  No matter how you come to Reiki, it seems to be ready when you are!

For me, Reiki resonated deeply and it is now a natural part of my everyday life, combining the Mind/Body/Soul.  It brings me a deep connection to Spirit and improves my Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual energies.
