Create, Design and Paint your own Mandala!

In this 2 hour online class you will learn about the uses and key elements of a Mandalas.

I will lead you through two designs:

1) The Mandala that is similar to the one in our photo for the class.  This one has circles, squares and Triangles and it is uniquely your design by how you add each element and the size, and the color and any extra design elements.  In the one featured, you see an EYE is an interesting element as well as the AUM symbols and the hand-drawn frame.  

2.  The second Mandala I will teach you will be the SEED OF LIFE Mandala.  I will teach you how to make six intertwining circles.  Often when I make Mandalas I incorporate the essence of the New or Full Moon.  This particular moon when we meet is going to be the Moon waning and it is in Pisces. This is no ordinary lunation - the Sun and Moon unite within a celestial gathering of six planets in Pisces, forming a rare and deeply mystical stellium!

You will want to have the following on hand:

Drawing Paper or Canvas (enough for drawing two Mandalas)

Your Drawing surface should be no smaller than a 8" x 10" white canvas

If you use paper, make sure it is specific for drawing and painting upon.  

Bring a graphite pencil sharpened - possibly two

Bring an eraser

Bring a Ruler that is at least 12 inches long.  Either metal or plastic.  

Bring a compass to make your circles.  You'll want a pencil in the compass.

Black ink gel pen (not 100% necessary, but it can come in useful)

Colored Markers are recommended for this class but when you use the design process again, of course, you may use any medium, i.e. acrylics, watercolor, crayons, etc..

In addition to attending the class presentation that will be taught live on Zoom, a replay of the class, with power point instructions, will also be sent to each registered participant after the completion of the workshop.

The key point of making a Mandala is Meditative.  They often start out one way and become another way.

They point us closer to our own intuition.  

This is a beginning class and you may only get to one of the Mandalas.  You may get to both.  Do not rush.  Do not worry.  You'll have everything to keep and return to again.  

There is much to learn and study about making/creating and painting Mandalas.  This quick paced two hour class will take you by the hand and meet you where you're at.
